For the money, this is a great curio cabinet. The reason for 4 stars is that one of the wooden rails is bowed, and one of the inserts needed to be glued into place. The instructions are only pictures, and they must be studied rather carefully (subtle things like how to get the glass side pieces together, or how to get the upper hinges truly installed). I assembled it by myself using a corner of the room as 'extra hands' to hold glass while I snapped parts together. It took me 3 hours from opening the box to filling it with curios, mostly because it was just me and I was being uber-careful. One step that I think is vital - and missing - is that once the feet are in place (step 1, part 2) and the base is turned over (the beginning of step 2) MOVE IT INTO POSITION AND TEST FOR LEVEL. This is the BEST time to do so, and if either the floor or the feet are not level, now's the time to do something about it because aligning the glass is truly difficult when the unit is not level, and it just gets heavier and heavier with each additional piece. I wondered why the front doors looked akimbo - and then I noticed it wasn't level - which made leveling it very spooky at that late stage. But all is well and it looks fine, holds my curios and keeps the dust away.
